Student injured in Schaumburg school bus crash
A female student suffered minor injuries Monday morning after the school bus she was riding in hit a stop sign, shattering a window near her seat, Schaumburg police said.
The student was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure, Lt. Shawn Green said.
"They wanted to make sure she got a full inspection in a doctor's office," he said.
The school bus hit a stop sign on the 1000 block of North Salem Drive at about 8:25 a.m. Glass from the shattered window fell into the bus, injuring the student. There were no other injuries, Green said.
Green said a routine crash investigation is being conducted and citations have not been issued.
