Friendship Village's Got Talent

They drummed, dance, sang and strutted their stuff as residents of Friendship Village participated in the community's annual talent show on August 20 and 21.

"I am constantly amazed at the talent of many of our residents. Some of them have professional vocal and instrumental experience, and are so generous is sharing it with the community," said Donna Brown, lifestyles manager who was one of the coordinators of the show. "It's also so much fun that a number of our associates are always happy to jump in and perform as well."

This year's show featured a lip syncing overture of songs from "The Sound of Music," live percussion and piano performances, an appearance by the Friendship Village Choir, and a rendition of Michael Jackson's Thriller.

"One of the residents recently told me that he hasn't had this much since high school," said Brown. "We love the opportunity to let residents relive some of their favorite experiences."
