Cardboard boat races on Bangs Lake Sept. 5
Lindy's Landing Restaurant and Marina will host the 14th Annual Labor Day Cardboard Boat Races on Saturday, Sept. 5. The races will begin on Bangs Lake at noon. Prizes and trophies will be awarded to top finishers in various categories. Registration is required to enter a boat. If you register before Aug. 31, the fee is $30. Same-day registration is $40. You can pick up the registration form and rules at Lindy's Landing, Wauconda Park District headquarters or the Wauconda Area Library. They're also available online at lindyslanding.net.
