Buffalo Grove ranks high for women entrepeneurs
Buffalo Grove ranks as one of the best cities in the country for women entrepreneurs to launch a business, according a new report by data-science group GoodCall.
The village placed 18th on the group's list, compiled after an evaluation of more than 400 municipalities across the United States. Joining Buffalo Grove in the top 100 are Northbrook (11), Libertyville (15), South Elgin (31), Glen Ellyn (53), Crystal Lake (58), Park Ridge (58), Algonquin (64) and Gurnee (73).
"Buffalo Grove ranked highly for women entrepreneurs due to a strong economy, a large number of female business owners, and strong educational values for women, making it a great place for any entrepreneur to start a business," said GoodCall founder Eppie Vojt.
Communities were evaluated on the metrics of core economic strength, business climate for women, professional networking potential and female educational values.
