Universal health care is the norm

I would just like to inform all those (mostly Republican) neighbors of mine who are critical of Obamacare that the concept is not new.

My Boston cousins have enjoyed it for many years. There it's called "Romneycare."

Yeah. That Romney. He brought it to the people of Massachusetts when he was governor.

In fact, in every civilized country, universal health care is the norm. I have a very large family in Toronto, Ontario, and Canada has had universal coverage for many years.

Are there faults and problems? Of course. But no one is turned away, no one goes bankrupt, and the emergency rooms are used for emergencies and not for the poor who can't get medical help otherwise.
