Waukegan man charged with robbing Fifth Third Bank

A Waukegan man is in custody for the Monday robbery of a Waukegan bank, authorities said.

Donald Reddick, 48, of the 2400 block of Dugdale Road, was taken into custody Monday and charged with one count of bank robbery for the heist at the Fifth Third Bank at 800 South Waukegan Road, FBI Public Affairs Specialist Diane Carbonara said. Reddick appeared in a Chicago federal court Tuesday and waived a detention hearing, Carbonara said. He was ordered held in jail by U.S. Magistrate Judge Geraldine Brown, Carbonara said.

According to the FBI's Bandit Tracker website, Reddick entered the Fifth Third Bank at 2:51 p.m. Monday and demanded money from the teller. It's unknown if he had a weapon.

The website also links Reddick to a robbery at the same bank at 1:22 p.m. Aug. 3. But he has not been charged with the Aug. 3 bank robbery, Carbonara said.
