Police investigate Elgin shooting

A man was shot in Elgin just before 6 p.m. on Sunday, according to a news release.

Police responded to the 1100 block of Peach Tree Lane and found the 28-year-old victim, who was taken to Presence St. Joseph Hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries.
