Hoffman Estates man dies in Barrington Hills crash

A Hoffman Estates man died in a one-vehicle crash in Barrington Hills on Wednesday afternoon.

Barrington Hills officers were called about a crash around 1:15 p.m. at Old Sutton Road north of Route 62, where they found an Infiniti I30 had left the road, struck a tree and overturned, according to a news release.

The driver, Kiril Kountchev, 26, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was the only occupant in the car.

Barrington Hills police closed Old Sutton Road until about 5:30 p.m., according to the release.

The accident is still under investigation by the Barrington Hills Police Department, the Lake County Major Crash Assistance Team and the Cook County medical examiner's office.
