Dog stolen from Northbrook animal hospital

A Jack Russell Terrier-mix dog was stolen from a Northbrook animal hospital, police say.

A person took the dog, named Mr. Reese, from a small dog kennel at Heartland Animal Hospital, 2975 N. Milwaukee Ave. The burglary was reported to police Sunday, Prospect Heights police said in a news release.

Mr. Reese lived at the shelter since May and was pending adoption when he went missing. He was the only animal taken, police said.
