DuPage Habitat plans Aug. 6 golf outing

DuPage Habitat for Humanity's eighth annual Golf Tournament and Liberty Mutual Invitational will benefit families in need of affordable housing across DuPage County.

"This event is one of the largest fundraisers our affiliate puts on," said Dave Neary, executive director at DuPage Habitat for Humanity. "Please join our team in raising funds to build homes, communities and hope in DuPage County."

The 18-hole, foursome scramble starts at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, at Seven Bridges Golf Club, One Mulligan Drive, Woodridge. Registration is $210 per golfer or $800 per foursome and includes green fees, golf cart, prizes, lunch, dinner and drinks on the course.

Dinner-only tickets cost $75 and lunch-only tickets are $50.

Additional games and a few surprises will be available throughout the day for golfers. The winning foursome will have the opportunity to play next spring in the Liberty Mutual Invitational National Finals at Pinehurst.

"This will be the sixth year that I have been involved with this great event, and I can promise you it will be bigger and better than ever," said Pat Green, golf tournament committee chairman.

"Seven Bridges is a beautiful golf course that is challenging, yet not intimidating. We would love to see you on Aug. 6, whether you sign up on your own or put a foursome together."
