Rauner puts Spring Grove, Mundelein men on state boards
Gov. Bruce Rauner appointed a couple more suburban residents to state boards Friday, including the one that weighs complaints against state doctors.
Rauner appointed Albert Tracy of Spring Grove to the Medical Disciplinary Board, an unpaid job that can recommend taking away doctors' licenses.
Tracy works for the state as a health service investigator following nearly 30 years doing tax enforcement work for the IRS.
Rauner also reappointed Elroy Salazar of Mundelein to the Illinois Workforce Investment Board, a post to which he was first appointed by former Gov. Pat Quinn in 2012.
The board is supposed to make a five-year plan to implement the Federal Workforce Investment Act.
Salazar is executive director of the Illinois Migrant Council.
His state post is also unpaid, and both boards cover members' expenses.
