Streamwood kicks off 3-day Summer Celebration

The annual Streamwood Summer Celebration, featuring carnival rides, entertainment, food, a business expo, bingo and main stage bands, opened Friday night and runs through Sunday at Hoosier Park, 700 W. Irving Park Road.

More than 10,000 people are expected over the course of the weekend. The theme of the festival parade, which is at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, is "Christmas in July."

Festival hours are noon to 11 p.m. Saturday and noon to 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
