Republicans prepare for war

How impressive to learn that all Republicans in the U.S. Senate and House, and those running for President, are speed readers able to absorb and analyze a 100-page proposed treaty with Iran in less than an hour.

Amazing that they are unanimous in their opposition to the proposed treaty hammered out by six countries including Russia and China and the U.S.

Someone should remind Republicans that the sole purpose of the treaty is to prevent Iran from developing an atomic bomb. Inspections by the International Atomic Energy Agency will determine whether Iran is obeying the terms and conditions of the treaty. This is the same group that inspected Iraq prior to our invasion in 2003, and stated that Iraq possessed no WMD's - of course the Bush administration knew better. We know how that turned out.

Since when has an entire political party favored continuing policies which will inevitably lead to war rather than accepting a treaty which will ensure at least 10 years without a nuclear war with Iran?
