Make boards accountable for pension abuses

With regard to the Illinois Association of Park Districts' pension abuse case, what do we as taxpayers have to do to stop this madness in the public sector?

Is blatant and continual abuse of our taxpayer dollars bordering on criminal malfeasance? When and how will individual board members be held personally responsible for their poor stewardship decisions?

If this was a private sector issue, we the public and the government would be up in arms and demand action. Why shouldn't the public sector be held to the same standards?

Can we please bring a common-sense approach to how we spend our tax dollars?
