Celebrate International Bog Day

Volo Bog State Natural Area and Friends of Volo Bog are hosting International Bog day from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 26.

The event includes bog tours through the afternoon, kids bog crafts, an art show, live folk music, and bog frog cookies and other snacks for sale. As part of the festivities there will be a 2.8-mile bog dog hike and picnic at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. The public also is invited to meet the Norwegian Elkhounds and learn why they are called bog dogs.
