Intimidation is no way to protect freedom

The main thing we are ALL fortunate to have in America is an abundance of freedoms. It is in great part what separates us from much of the world.

Although not specifically written this way, one of those freedoms is the right to disagree. As of late. the divisions in our country over several subjects has become more and more pronounced and the reaction to disagreement by the left combined with large portions of the media has become intolerance in the form of over-reactive censorship and demonization of large groups of people.

The main goal seems to be silencing the opposition through intimidation. It doesn't help when much of our leadership seems perfectly content with this method of getting things their way.

We have ways of deciding things that involve votes, either by the individual or by elected representatives. When things are decided by other means, large portions of the population will always feel forced upon and the divisions will expand.

I don't care if you are far left, far right or right in the middle, if this continues and grows even further, it will put us on a path this country was designed to avoid and none of us will end up happy with the final destination.
