Lane reductions on Route 41 start Monday

Lane closures and reductions will occur along Route 41 from Gurnee to Highland Park beginning Monday, July 6, weather permitting, for a roadway modernization project, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation.

To complete the work, Route 41 will have daytime lane reductions and closures from Route 21 to Park Avenue West.

The work includes construction of shoulders, drainage and guardrail improvements, and traffic signal modernization. It is scheduled to be complete by the end of October.
