Blackhawks agree to terms with Rundblad

After playing in 49 Blackhawks games last season, 24-year-old defenseman David Rundblad has agreed to two-year extension, which runs through the end of the 2016-17 NHL season, team officials announced Monday.

Rundblad scored 14 points (3G, 11A) last season for the Stanley Cup champions, and had a plus-17 rating that ranked third on the team.

The Lycksele, Sweden, native saw action in five postseason games as the Blackhawks won their third Stanley Cup in six season.
