Vehicle knocks over light pole on Route 53 near Dundee Road
A vehicle knocked over a light pole on southbound Route 53 near Dundee Road in Palatine and caused one lane to be closed for about half an hour Friday during the afternoon rush hour.
Illinois State Police responded to the call around 5:30 p.m. No one had to be transported for medical treatment, officials said.
Information was not immediately available about what caused the crash or whether any tickets would be issued.
