River Bend introduces Golf Bikes

Bike while you golf? River Bend Golf Club recently has adopted this cutting-edge concept.

The public, nine-hole course last month acquired four Golf Bikes, offering customers a new way to cart their clubs through its scenic fairways.

A green alternative to the traditional gas cart, the Golf Bike promotes a healthy lifestyle and allows cycling enthusiasts an opportunity to combine two of their favorite activities. River Bend Golf Club is an avid supporter of green initiatives and is excited to be able to present customers with this eco-friendly option.

The Golf Bike is an inexpensive alternative, available for rent at $5, half the cost of a gas cart. To learn more about River Bend Golf Club or book a tee time online, visit riverbendgolfclub.org.

Since its inception in 2010, the Golf Bike has been enthusiastically accepted by the golf industry and is being used on courses in the United States and Canada.

In 2013, inventor Todd May presented the Golf Bike at the PGA Show in the Inventor's Spotlight. May's background in the cycling profession and history in golf product design and manufacturing put a new spin on a traditional sport.
