Blackhawks home opener vs. Rangers on Oct. 7
The Chicago Blackhawks will raise their 2015 Stanley Cup banner to the United Center rafters on Wednesday, Oct. 7, before their home opener against the New York Rangers.
Team officials, in conjunction with the National Hockey League, announced that the Original Six matchup with the Rangers will start at 7 p.m.
While more details about the Stanley Cup Championship ceremony will be announced later, the 2015-16 regular-season schedule will be released Thursday morning, team officials said.
