Three suffer minor injuries in Schaumburg crash

A two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon in Schaumburg sent three people to nearby hospitals.

The crash happened about 2 p.m. at Schaumburg and Springinsguth roads, Schaumburg fire Capt. John Steele said.

The collision also knocked down a light pole. The crash victims were taken to two different hospitals - Alexian Brothers in Elk Grove Village and St. Alexius in Hoffman Estates - with minor injuries.

The westbound lanes of Schaumburg Road were closed while Schaumburg police investigated.
