Golf outing fundraiser in Waukegan

A golf fundraiser to honor former Libertyville High School athlete, Jack Lipp, is July 20 at Bonnie Brook Golf Course, 2800 N. Lewis Ave., Waukegan. The first Jack Lipp Foundation Golf Outing will raise money to help fund other Foundation events and to support the "Playing with Heart Scholarship." The golf outing is a four-person scramble with a shotgun start at 11 a.m. After golf, a buffet-style BBQ dinner will be served. There will be awards, a silent auction, and raffles for those who wish to participate. Jack Lipp Memorial Foundation T-shirts will be available for purchase. Sign-ups are due July 8. Prices are: $70 per person for golf and dinner; $30 per person for dinner only. Prices include two raffle entries. The $2,000 scholarship is given annually to a member of the Libertyville High School basketball or golf team. Visit http://www.jacklippfoundation.com/. The Foundation was created in Spring 2015 to honor Lipp, who died in December 2014 after a fall at the University of Missouri.
