Three people hospitalized after Elk Grove Village crash

Three people were sent to the hospital early Saturday evening after a two-vehicle crash on Busse Road and Oakton Street, authorities said.

One of the three injured, a mom who was in a gray vehicle, was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, a level one trauma center, said Elk Grove Village Battalion Chief Mark Percudani. Her condition was not immediately known, and he directed inquires about the crash to police.

The other three were taken to Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village.

A fourth person was treated at the scene, Percudani said.

Four ambulances were called to the crash about 5:45 p.m.

Just after 7 p.m., northbound Busse Road remained shut down to traffic, police said. And eastbound Oakton Street was down to one lane.
