RotaryFest continues through Sunday

Elk Grove Village RotaryFest opened Wednesday evening for its five-day run.

Rotarians and the village say a much bigger tent and property improvements mean the festival will be able to keep potential rain from interfering with the fest.

Festival activities include carnival rides, games, live bands, a car show, a parade at 5 p.m. Saturday and fireworks at 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

The event is held at Lions Park, 150 Lions Drive. Admission is free; no pets allowed.
