Chicago man pleads guilty in Naperville stickup
A Chicago man pleaded guilty Monday to the armed robbery of a Naperville Radio Shack and was sentenced to eight years in prison.
Prosecutors said Jalin Parks, 21, drove Dennis Clark, 24, and Christopher Nesbit, 45, from Chicago to the Radio Shack at 1223 E. Ogden Ave. on Aug. 12, 2013, and waited outside as Nesbit and Clark "terrorized and traumatized" two clerks with a semiautomatic handgun for 45 minutes.
The men made off with more than $45,000 worth of cellphones but were apprehended a short time later in Chicago after Parks crashed the car attempting to elude police.
Nesbit pleaded guilty in May 2014 and was sentenced to 15 years in prison. Clark was found guilty during an April jury trial and faces between 21 and 45 years in prison when he is sentenced Thursday.
