New Thai restaurant opens in Palatine this summer

A new Thai restaurant offering authentic, healthy food is coming to Palatine later this summer, according to its owner.

Sakchai Sirichusinwong says he will open Thai House at 575 E. Dundee Road in July or August.

Sirichusinwong said this will be the third Thai House location. He started out in Hoffman Estates 14 years ago, and opened a Chicago location in the Lakeview neighborhood five years ago.

He said he was drawn to Palatine because of the town's beauty, location and the warm welcome he received from village officials. In addition to dining in the restaurant or outside on a patio, the business will offer carry out and delivery.

"I would like all of my customers to be impressed and happy when they order, whether they dine in my restaurants or their home," Sirichusinwong said.

Thai House will be located in the space that previously had a Caribou Coffee. The Palatine village council unanimously approved the restaurant's plan.
