Celebrate National Trails Day in Palatine

In recognition of National Trails Day® (NTD), Palatine Park District and Palatine Public Library are hosting a community clean-up of the Palatine Trail on Saturday, June 6 from 9am to 11am. The event will be headquartered in the Palatine Public Library West Parking Lot located at 700 N. North Court, Palatine. Froggy, the rambunctious frog from books by Jonathan London, will present a story and song at 10:30am to wrap up the event.

Individuals and community groups are invited to volunteer to help clean up debris on the section of the Palatine Trail between the library and Smith Street. Volunteers should wear work gloves, comfortable closed-toed shoes, and long pants. Giveaways for the first 100 people, free raffle entries, water and snacks will be provided.

To join the Trail Clean Up, contact Joshua Ludolph at 847-496-6242 or jludolph@palatineparks.org.
