• Jennifer K. Sears, 43, of the 300 block of Kansas Street, Elburn, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at 9:04 a.m. Tuesday after authorities were called to Bliss and Denny roads near Elburn for a vehicle blocking a turn lane, according to a sheriff's report. Deputies said they found Sears sleeping in the back seat, the key in the ignition and the engine still running. Sears smelled of alcohol and failed field sobriety tests, the report said.
• An enclosed 53-foot trailer, valued at $6,000, was stolen between 6:30 p.m. May 19 and 1 p.m. May 20 from the 0N900 block of Old Kirk Road near Geneva.
