Climate warming excuse to take your money

Now comes a letter writer who claims the only "climate deniers" are scientists who are being paid by the fossil fuel industry.

Obama has nearly shut down the coal industry; I doubt they can afford to pay scientists.

Our weather service has been keeping track of our temperatures since 1900, which is 115 years. In that time our average temperature has gone up a degree and a half.

This is global warming? In accounting that is a rounding error and could be accounted for by weather service measuring instruments being moved multiple times. Big rise in CO2 levels? Let's use common language.

CO2 is carbon dioxide, which is exhaled by humans and used by trees, I learned in sixth grade.

We are supposed to worry about this? If we decrease carbon dioxide the trees might die. Our letter writer is worried about polar bears dying. I am sorry, but the climate warming thieves just want to get their hands in your pockets for more tax dollars.

They are running out of money; Margaret Thatcher said "Socialism works just fine until you run out of other peoples money."
