Memorial Day a time to remember

Memorial Day, a special day to remember those who have gone before us especially those who served in the Military.

In 2009 HBO presented a made for TV movie titled "Taking Chance" staring Kevin Bacon as Marine Col. Strobl who requests permission to accompany the Body of the movie's main character Marine Chance Phelps to his home town for burial.

Marine Chance Phelps died in action in 2004. The story is based on a book by Col. Strobl that tells the story of Marine Chance's final journey.

It is a beautiful story most appropriate for the Memorial weekend. It is a beautiful story filled with deep respect for a young man who gave his life for his Country.

Watch for it. You will fee good about being an American.
