Lindenhurst Memorial Day ceremony
Lindenhurst Memorial Day ceremonies will start at 10 a.m. Monday, May 25, at the Veterans Memorial at the entrance to village hall, 2301 E. Sand Lake Road. The ceremony will include the Lindenhurst Scout Troop 87 Color Guard and Lake Villa/Lindenhurst VFW Post 4308. Music will be provided by the combined Millburn middle and elementary school choirs, Lakes High School Band, and vocalist Rebecca Labb. The keynote speaker is Cmdr. Walter "Lunar" Dalitsch III, assistant director for specialty care at the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center. The ceremony will be held in the public works building behind village hall in the event of bad weather.
