St. Charles North lacrosse team competes in state playoffs

The St. Charles North High School lacrosse team won their opening-round state playoff game 8-7 against St. Ignatius of Chicago on Tuesday evening, May 19.

The North Stars were down 6-3 at the half, but came back strong to outscore St. Ignatius 5-1 in the second half.

The North Stars are now in the Round of 16 of the Illinois High School State Championship Playoffs and will play again at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 21, against Lake Forest High School at the high school, 1285 N. McKinley Road in Lake Forest.
