Schaumburg Park District Board announced 2015-2016 officers

The Schaumburg Park District Board of Commissioners announced its 2015-2016 officers, and swore in three members for new terms at its regular board meeting on May 14.

Dave Johnson will serve as president, Sharon DiMaria as first vice president, Bob Schmidt as second vice president, Mike Daniels as secretary and George Longmeyer as treasurer.

Incumbents Daniels, DiMaria and Schmidt were sworn in. In the April local elections, they ran unopposed for new four-year terms.

The Park Board is the legal governing authority through which the Park District conducts business. Park Commissioners are elected at large. The Schaumburg Park District Park Board meets at 7:30 p.m. the second Thursday of every month at the Jerry Handlon Administration Building, 235 E. Beech Drive, Schaumburg.
