Jackie and Peter Holsten receive award at NHS' 40th anniversary dinner

Jackie and Peter Holsten of Holsten Real Estate Development were honored to be recipients of a Community Impact Award for their work in affordable housing at the 40th anniversary awards dinner for Neighborhood Housing Services.

The event, held at Navy Pier and attended by over 750 corporate, civic and community partners, raised more than $490,000!

In accepting the award, Peter Holsten commented, "Since 1975, the Holsten family of companies have strived to build and maintain healthy communities and have a positive relationship with neighbors, residents and each other. With over 3,000 apartments, our real estate development company is at the forefront of providing affordable, market-rate, mixed-income, and mixed-use project development in the Chicago area. We are devoted to the principle that everyone deserves affordable, quality housing and access to area amenities."

Added Jackie Holsten, "The mission of Holsten is to be a unique real estate company that turns diverse opportunities into successful communities through social entrepreneurship. Our not-for-profit, Holsten Human Capital Development provides social services to residents in the areas of employment, lease compliance and household well-being."
