Pet adoption even canceled
A pet adoption event scheduled for May 16, at Lambs Farm in Green Oaks has been canceled because of the ongoing concern over the canine flu. According to the Anti-Cruelty Society, dogs are not being transferred into the Chicago area because of the flu outbreak, and the event will be rescheduled when the threat has passed. Lambs Farm's Dogwood Garden & Pet Center is a rescue-based operation in partnership with the society. A nominal adoption fee is charged and used for expenses for transport, spaying/neutering and inoculations. Call (847) 367-7606.
