Four people were seriously injured in a crash Monday afternoon in Des Plaines that required firefighters to extricate three people, fire officials said. A fire in Round Lake Park Monday afternoon gutted a garage and caused smoke and heat damage to the attached house, fire officials said. Round Lake High School adds more unisex bathrooms
Round Lake High School has created more unisex bathrooms in response to a transgender student's request that more such facilities were needed in the building. Suburban woman starts fundraiser for Nepal friends
A Libertyville woman who was in Nepal during the catastrophic earthquake last month is now spearheading a fundraiser to provide supplies for the Nepalese guides she met during her trip. Alexandra Gaulin and a group of her travel photography friends are seeking monetary donations to a Go Fund Me account so they can buy supplies like tents, medications, water filters, flashlights and more.
