Village of Schaumburg Announces New Director of Human Resources

The Village of Schaumburg is pleased to announce that Ann Everhart, who currently serves as the Director of Human Resources for the City of Crystal Lake, has been named as Schaumburg's new Director of Human Resources.

"Ann has an extensive background in Human Resources in a variety of public sector settings, which made her the best choice for this position," Village Manager Brian Townsend said. "I am confident Ann will make a smooth transition to our Human Resources team and her experience will prove to be a valuable asset for our organization."

Prior to serving more than 10 years in Crystal Lake as the Director of Human Resources, Everhart worked for the City of Longmont, Colorado, and the City of Naperville. She served as Human Resources Director in both these communities.

Everhart is a graduate of North Central College in Naperville where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Everhart also has a Master of Arts in Communication from Northern Illinois University.

She is actively involved with the Illinois Public Employer Labor Relations Association (IPELRA) where she currently serves as President. This statewide organization offers resources for professional development and advocacy in the field of labor and employee relations to more than 300 members.

"I am grateful for the opportunity the village has given me to further my professional career in Human Resources," Everhart said. "Schaumburg is a great community that is served by dedicated employees. I look forward to joining this organization and getting to know the village better as I begin this new chapter of my life."

Everhart will begin her position with the village on Monday, June 1.
