Working with high-risk kids

Psychologist and attorney Dr. Eugene Griffin, the director of research at the ChildTrauma Academy, is the featured speaker at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 3, at the Stevenson Center of Democracy, 25200 N. St. Mary's Road in Mettawa. Working with high-risk adolescents is the topic for Griffin, who has spent his career caring for young people and families involved in the public sector settings of mental health, child welfare and juvenile justice. He is retired from Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. Admission is $15. Students are free.
