Batavia

• A package of checks were stolen out of a shopper's cart at Jewel-Osco, 119 S. Randall Road, it was reported at 9:48 a.m. April 22.

• Two credit cards were stolen at a residence on the 200 block of Webster Street, it was reported at 1:34 p.m. April 21.

• Steven E. Cash, 29, of the 700 block of Doral Lane in North Aurora, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while his licenses is suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle, at 4:37 p.m. April 20 on the 1300 block of East Wilson Street, according to police.

• Between 7 p.m. April 17 and 6 a.m. April 18, a trailer and several mowers were stolen from Lawn Doctor, 1485 Louis Bork Drive.

• About $20 to $25 in coins were stolen out of a vehicle on the 600 block of Elm Street, it was reported at 12:34 p.m. April 18.

• After a bicyclist extended his arm to keep himself away from a vehicle that had cut him off, the vehicle's driver got out and punched the bicyclist in the face April 18 at Washington and Wilson streets, according to police.

• Lilia Camargo-Hernandez, 49, of the 1100 block of West Wilson Street, Batavia, was charged with retail theft at 7:14 p.m. April 18 at Wal-Mart, 801 N. Randall Road, according to police.

Kane County

• Jewelry and $600 were stolen between 4:30 p.m. Saturday and 12:34 a.m. Sunday from a home on the 100 Pheasant Trail Circle near Carpentersville.

• A resident of 38W400 block of Stevens Glen Road near St. Charles reported a case of identity theft at noon April 9 after receiving a letter from the IRS that someone had used the person's Social Security number to obtain a $8,000 tax refund.

• Alex L. Bolen, 28, of the 1000 block of Reckinger Road, Aurora, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at 3:58 p.m. Sunday after a traffic stop on West Illinois Avenue, west of Orchard Road, near Aurora, according to a sheriff report.
