St. Charles woman elected to state board

Laurine Tucker of St. Charles has been elected second vice chairman of the board of directors of the Northeastern Illinois Agency on Aging.

She has been a board member since 2001 and had previously served on the agency's advisory council. Tucker is a member of the board's planning, legislative and brunch committees.

The election was part of the agency's 41st annual meeting on April 10. Also at that meeting, the board re-elected Jennifer Franck of Maple Park as a Kane County representative on the board. She had been appointed to the advisory council in 2010, and in 2013 was elected to fill an incomplete term on the board. She now will start a full three-year term.

The board of directors and its guests honored Maria Fronczak of St. Charles for five years of service on the agency's staff. She is the manager of the community planning division.
