Heyman, Glenbard East get out of jam

Glenbard East 3, Metea Valley 2:

With the bases loaded two outs and a run in for the Mustangs (7-3, 2-3), Glenbard East (4-8, 1-4) starting and winning pitcher Jake Heyman coaxed a groundout to pull out the Upstate Eight Valley victory. Joey Moore went 3-for-3 with 2 runs scored while Michael Sebby and Bryan Andrews each had 2 hits. Devon Wardell went 2-for-3 for Metea Valley.

Glenbard North 5, Naperville Central 4:

The Panthers (9-3, 3-0) scored the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh inning to sweep Naperville Central (6-7, 0-3) in the DuPage Valley Conference. Neal Shah went 3-for-3 for Glenbard North and Matt Michalak drove in 2 runs. Sam Ledbetter was the complete-game winning pitcher. Justin Wegner's 2 hits and Billy Oliver's 2 RBI paced the Redhawks.

WW South 3, Wheaton North 2:

Jake Kyllonen struck out seven and allowed no earned runs in a complete-game effort for the Tigers (4-8, 3-0), who swept the DuPage Valley Conference series from Wheaton North (3-9, 0-3).

Naperville North 7, Lake Park 4:

The Huskies (6-6, 3-0) swept in the DuPage Valley Conference behind homers by Mark Khoury and Sam Siebers, who each drove in 2 runs. Luke Brennan was the winning pitcher. Michael Nielsen and James Palmer had 2 hits for Lake Park (5-5, 0-3).

Lisle 13, Westminster 2:

An 11-run third inning sparked the Lions (5-7) to victory. Mark McGrath and David White had 2 hits and 2 RBI. Christian Grego, Alec Van Volkenburg and George Swedie also had 2 hits. Christian Grego went the distance on the mound.

West Aurora 4, Neuqua Valley 3:

Tyler Tesmond drove in 3 runs and Kevin Hutt, Matt Gould and Will Drake had 2 hits apiece, but the Wildcats (7-4, 3-2) fell in the Upstate Eight Valley.

South Elgin 6, Waubonsie Valley 1:

The Warriors (8-3, 4-1) dropped their first Upstate Eight Valley Conference game despite getting 2 hits from Garret Howicz and Nick Price.
