3 win regional school board seats
Voters chose two newcomers and an incumbent to serve on the seven-member DuPage County Regional Board of School Trustees.
Unofficial final totals from Tuesday's election show Paula McGowen of Glen Ellyn finished with 33,436 votes, Catherine Hanzelin of Naperville finished with 33,989 and incumbent Laura Pollastrini of Carol Stream finished with 33,132 to capture the three available seats.
Others in the race were Patrick Ryan, Gerald Allen and Dominick Lanzito.
Members of the board hear petitions for annexation, detachment and changes in school boundaries.
