Kestas no-hits Hinsdale South
Naperville Central senior pitcher Julie Kestas threw a 5-inning no-hitter in a 12-0 nonconference win at Hinsdale South. Kestas (2-0) added a double at the plate for the Redhawks, who put the game away with a 6-run fourth inning. Shortstop Lisa Tassi doubled and tripled for the Redhawks.

Senior Ari Renc hit a home run and a triple in support of winning pitcher Alyssa MacMahon in the nonconference game in Streamwood.

Senior Dana Fritz had another good day on the mound and at the plate, throwing a 4-hitter and hitting a triple in the Metro Suburban Conference game. Freshman Rose Riley doubled for the host Bison.
IC Catholic Prep 21, Walther Christian 0:
IC (6-0) pounded 20 hits in four innings while Anjella Farmer (2-0) threw a 2-hitter and struck out six. Farmer and Melissa Gonzalez each got 4 hits and drove in three runners in five trips to the plate, Farmer hitting 2 doubles. Lindsey Montoya and Kaitlyn Falduto also drove in 3 runs and Josie Lytton hit a 2-run home run.
Downers Grove South 8, Hoffman Estates 3:
Pitcher Caroline Hedgcock improved to 4-0 in the nonconference game on the road. Zahyra McFarland hit a triple and Kristin Lea, Rebecca Bluder and Nicole Bowman all cracked doubles for the Mustangs.
Glenbard South 3, Chicago Christian 2:
Junior Payton Carli scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the sixth inning on a hit by her freshman sister, Mady Carli.
