Hanover park man injured in Palatine accident

A 26-year-old Hanover Park man was injured when his car slid off the roadway and struck a tree in Palatine, authorities said.

Authorities said the driver was heading southbound on Roselle Road at 3:30 a.m. when he lost control of his 2009 Toyota Yaris in the 700 block of Roselle Road, slid across the northbound lane, exited the roadway and hit the tree.

The unidentified driver was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, authorities said. His condition is unknown at this time.

The accident is under investigation by the regional Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team, authorities said.

The roadway was closed until about 8 a.m. while the accident was under investigation, authorities said.
