Plea deal soon for Gurnee man:
A 76-year-old Gurnee man facing multiple charges of possession of child pornography is expected to accept a plea deal when he returns to court April 9, defense attorney Stephen Simonian said Monday. Ronald J. Wendt, of the 4100 block of Stoney Island, faces three to seven years in prison if found guilty on any of the five total counts of possession of child pornography with which he is charged. Wendt was charged after Gurnee police found child pornography images from a computer confiscated from Wendt's home June 20. He remains free from Lake County jail after he posted the required 10 percent of his $500,000 bail.
