Believe Project: $100 for art teacher to create a mural in Bensenville school

Today's winner of a $100 bill through the Believe Project is Rosario Garcia of Bensenville.

Here is an excerpt of her suggestion:

"I would like for you to consider Ms. McAllister's art classes for the $100 donation. Ms. McAllister is an art teacher at Tioga Elementary School in Bensenville, and she would make really good use of the money. She would like to introduce her fifth-grade students to various materials such as acrylic (and) spray paint and techniques like collage and stencil work.

"Most of her students have never been to an art museum, and the majority of them come from low-income households and half are English language learners.

"Together with artist Chris Silva they will design, plan and create a permanent community mural in the hallway of Tioga."

• The Believe Project mails a $100 bill each day to someone with a good idea for how to use it to do a good deed for someone else.
