Blackhawks raise ticket prices for next season

The price of success for the Blackhawks will cost fans a little more next season.

For the sixth straight season, the Blackhawks are raising ticket prices, this time by an average of 8 percent.

The cost of a front-row seat on the glass will be $450 per game next season, or $19,800 for a season ticket holder. The cheapest seat in the United Center will be $50 for a 300-Level Tier 3 section, or $2,200 for a season ticket holder.

Season ticket holders, however, also get other benefits, including a substantial discount on playoff tickets.

The Blackhawks, who had a 99 percent renewal rate last season, sent renewal information Friday to season ticket holders on Friday.

Here are the various levels, as announced by the Blackhawks:

• 100-Level Platinum: $450 per game ($19,800 season)

• 100-Level Prime: $195 ($8,580)

• 200-Level Prime: $145 ($7,380)

• 200-Level Seats: $125 ($6,500)

• 300-Level Tier 1: $95 ($4,180)

• 300-Level Tier 2: $75 ($3,300)

• 300-Level Tier 3: $50 ($2,200)

The Blackhawks have a franchise record of 313 consecutive sellouts at the United Center, and team officials report that season tickets account for about 75 percent of all seats. The Hawks last missed the playoffs in 2008 and won the Stanley Cups in 2009-10 and 2012-13 seasons.
