Lindenhurst seeks volunteers

The village of Lindenhurst is seeking residents to fill positions on its environmental and lakes commissions. There are five open spots on the environmental commission and one on the lakes commission. Interested volunteers should submit a brief letter of interest to the village board, 2301 E. Sand Lake Road, or emailed to mail@lindenhurstil.org. Environmental commissioners will plan and undertake various projects related to the environment and beautification of the village and work to advance village board-approved policies and procedures. Commissioners generally devote four to six hours per month, assist with special projects, attend monthly meetings and provide guidance and assistance on day of events as needed.
