Bartlett Volunteer Fire Association to raffle off hams

The Bartlett Volunteer Fire Association will raffle off more 40 spiral-cut hams and other prizes Saturday, March 28.

The inaugural event plays off the nonprofit's popular pre-Thanksgiving fundraiser, which raffles off free turkeys.

"Our annual Turkey Raffle in the fall is one of the best known events in the community," Association President Mike Dexter said in a news release. "We look forward to our new Ham Raffle becoming a community favorite for many years to come."

Tickets are $2 each or $5 for three. Free popcorn and ham slider sandwiches will be provided at the event, which takes place at 7 p.m. in the Bartlett Fire Barn, 218 S. Main St.

The more than 100-year-old organization donates to a variety of causes and waives the Fire Barn's rental fee for other charitable users. For details or to buy tickets, call (630) 837-5861 or email secretary@bartlettvfa.org.
